Big things are happening behind the scenes here at Overlander — and we’re finally ready to share them.

You may have noticed that progress on the app slowed down for a bit. The truth is, we hit a few bumps related to security and reliability that needed serious attention. So instead of patching things together, we made the tough call to do it right — and rebuild Overlander from the ground up.

Now, we’re thrilled to announce that Overlander 2.0 is ready to trial, and it’s better than ever. 

Stronger, Faster, and Smarter

This new version isn’t just a refresh — it’s a complete overhaul. We’ve rebuilt the core systems to make Overlander more secure, more stable, and way faster to use. Whether you’re planning a weekend hike or a cross-country convoy, you’ll notice smoother navigation, more reliable syncing, and a cleaner, more intuitive interface.

What’s New

Overlander 2.0 includes major under-the-hood improvements — but we’ve also been busy adding features you’ve been asking for:

• Improved route sharing

• More powerful communication tools for teams and groups

• Support for Mesh radios, including status, location and chat within your team, even while offline.

Right now, Overlander 2.0 is available for open beta testing on both Android and iOS. If you want early access and a chance to help us shape the final release:
